A patch
A mending of the brokenness,
A healing.
Patches are simple.
Anything that fixes what is broken is a patch.
I got a patch from you,
It couldn't hold up to the test.
Bailing wire and twine.
Broken again at the first sign of strain.
Like a glass plate shattered on a tile floor,
You dropped me.
It doesn't work,
Bailing wire can't hold a heart together without damaging it.
The patch didn't last.
Patches.
I found a patch.
A kiss from my niece.
A hug from my sister.
Those are the patches that don't fade,
Don't break.
A phone call when needed.
A picture to cheer me up.
A shoulder when I cry.
Are patches that last forever.
A patch that was given to me,
A lasting patch..
Torn to bits by someone I trusted.
On purpose,
To destroy me.
That wound patched again by someone who loves me.
I'm more patches than original.
They hold me together,
Keep me here.
But as long as I have patchmakers in my life,
I will exist.
I will be me.
And I will be able to help patch others.

Lonely
I'm all alone
though you're all here.
Surrounding me,
smothering me
with your happiness
that I can't match.
I know you
care for me,
care about me.
But I feel like
you don't see me.
And that makes
me not real.
Island of lonely
in a sea of happiness.
Joyful, unconcerned.
Maybe it's because
I won't open up
and let you in.
But it feels like
it's more than that.
Feeling claustrophobic,
its closing in.
Crushing me.
I can't breathe.
Help...
Now I'm really alone.
You've forgotten
I was ever there.
You don't recognize
me anymore.
Have I changed
that much?
You haven't changed
at all.
It seems like
you're immo

fallen
Her skin pale, taut, torn,
Her eyes cast at the mournful moon.
'How long,' She whispers,
Since the day bled out? Since
She'd been alone in the moonlight?
Broken wings folded neatly, she stood.
Bare feet on broken glass, blood
On the cold stone floor.
She looks up again, the shattered roof
Of the abandoned church.
The young priest shudders.
His words lose all meaning, fading
Into the echoes of her whimpers.
A thousand questions voiced at once.
She turns her head, black hair and lace
Falling gracefully around her pale face. With
A single tear drop of crimson blood.
She touches the place her wings once were.
'I...' Her words c

Lonely Angel
Sing a song for the lonely angel.
The one who grew up to fast,
Who thinks back and remembers a happy childhood past
And wonders what went wrong.
Sing a song for the lonely angel
The one who would explain herself if she could
But doesn't think she would be understood
And so she buries her secrets deep.
Sing a song for the lonely angel
Who's tired of feeling second best.
Who's being subjected to some cruel test
And feels as if she's failing.
Sing a song for the lonely angel
The one who just watches and observes as though she has not a care.
Even though she has her own thoughts and opinions to share
She won't tell them because sh
